Visiting guest: Elanto Wijoyono (IND)

On the occason of DISH 2011, the bi-annual conference on digital strategies for heritage, Elanto Wijoyono will visit the Netherlands in the framework of the foreign visitors programma.

Wijoyono has a background in archeology and project coordinator of management information systems on Indonesian Heritage. He is specifically interested in topics like the digitisation of archives, heritage strategies, co-creation and crowdsourcing: "Indonesia is a big new media country with more than 30 million users of Facebook and 5 million users of Twitter. How to empower these potentials to make our improvements on heritage management in Indonesia is the big question."

Next to his participation to the conference, Wijoyono will visit the Nationale Archives, the Royal Netherlands Institute for Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies and the Centre for International Heritage Activities.
