PRACTICS Partnermeeting in Amsterdam

On 11 and 12 November, the partners in the European PRACTICS project will meet in Amsterdam. Funded by the European Commission, PRACTICS is a pilot project in which various existing advisory organizations are exploring opportunities for setting up a reliable network of Mobility Infopoints. These are practical starting points from which you should be able to easily find your way within a particular country’s culture-and-arts sector.

Signposts in the arts landscape
A Mobility Infopoint is a useful gateway to a country’s cultural sector. Here foreign artists and cultural organizations can receive advice and directions to find relevant organizations and institutions that may be helpful for those seeking cross-border cultural cooperation or international entrepreneurial opportunities. SICA is the Infopoint for the Netherlands. The other Infopoints within Europe are the Kunstenloket in Belgium; Interarts in Spain and Wales Arts International.

Partner meeting
One part of the partner meeting in Amsterdam will be a workshop given by European tax expert Dick Molenaar, tasked with training Infopoints staff in the tax aspects of international activities, so that they will be able to provide practical advice to their clients in this area. Furthermore, Artservis in Slovenia and the digital platform On the Move will attend the gathering to discuss their possible inclusion in the network of Infopoints.
